ISF Title System

Indonesian Scrabble Federation (ISF) is introducing awards titles based on a player's consistent performance in ISF-rated tournaments. This system rewards sustained excellence, requiring players to achieve specific rating thresholds in three consecutive tournaments upon reaching the rating threshold, in addition to meeting minimum game-count requirements. Post-tournament ratings are used to determine eligibility. The titles and their criteria are:
1. Grandmaster (GM) – 1600+ rating, 300+ games
2. Senior Master (SM) – 1400+ rating, 200+ games
3. Master (M) – 1200+ rating, 100+ games

Although titles are awarded to all eligible players, regardless of ISF membership, only ISF members' titles are publicly listed on the ISF website.

Scrabble Titles: Retention and Revocation Policy
Once a player has been awarded a Scrabble title by the Indonesian Scrabble Federation (ISF), they hold it for life, except in the case of cheating.

Cheating is defined as any action or behavior that gives a player an unfair advantage over their opponents. Examples of cheating include but not limited to:
● Collusion with other players
● Use of unauthorized aids, such as electronic devices or written materials
● etc.

If a player is found to have cheated, they will be stripped of their title and may be subject to additional disciplinary action, such as suspension or expulsion from ISF tournaments.

ISF is committed to maintaining the integrity of its tournaments and ensuring that all players have a fair and enjoyable experience. The retention and revocation policy for Scrabble titles is an important part of these efforts.
